NFL Week 6: Game Previews, Betting, and Daily Fantasy Plays

It’s Week 6 already as football season keeps on rolling. We wish away our weekdays to get to NFL Sunday but it is so worth it. With the weather delay before the Sunday Night Football game, I stayed up until 1:00 AM watching football that started all the way in London at 9:30 AM and it was spectacular. I’m not wishing for another weather delay, but I am all in for 14 hours of NFL action today.

Game Previews

Jaguars (1-4) at Bears (3-2)

We head back to England for more AM football with a pair of teams coming off victories in week 5. Caleb Williams has improved in each game, taking baby steps toward the QB the Bears hoped for when they selected him #1 in the draft. Lawrence has been heavily criticized this year but looks to build on his best start of the year last week.

Cardinals (2-3) at Packers (3-2)

Green Bay won a tough get-right game last week against the Rams while the Cardinals pulled off an upset against their division foe 49ers. The Cardinals have snuck up on some teams, but this feels like a game where the Packers get things rolling for 2024.

Colts (2-3) at Titans (1-3)

Anthony Richardson is healthy and will be back in the lineup this week. Oddly enough, that works in the Titans‘ favor. Joe Flacco is the best QB in the building but it’s back to the sideline as the Colts are playing the long game in developing their franchise QB.

Texans (4-1) at Patriots (1-4)

#3 overall pick Drake Maye gets his first start for the Patriots this week and it won’t be easy. Houston allows the 3rd least passing yards in the league at 154 Y/G. The Patriots’ offense is already dead last in passing yards at only 119.4 Y/G, so how much worse can it really get? Head Coach Jerod Mayo is hoping Maye can ignite a much-needed spark.

Buccaneers (3-2) at Saints (2-3)

New Orleans has spiraled since their 2-0 start, and it won’t get better in week 6. Derek Carr is expected to miss several weeks with an oblique injury so 5th-round rookie Spencer Rattler gets the start against the Buccaneers who are still red-hot despite an OT loss to Atlanta last week.

Browns (1-4) at Eagles (2-2)

Philadelphia is coming off a well-timed early bye week, and they needed it to get some key starters healthy. As usual, the Browns are in shambles and this one may not be much of a contest.

Commanders (4-1) at Ravens (3-2)

This is the hottest ticket in the NFL so far this season. The game is in such demand, even NBC couldn’t get their hands on it. CBS blocked it from being flexed to Sunday Night Football as it’s one of the best early-season games we’ve seen in some time.

Chargers (2-2) at Broncos (3-2)

Sean Payton’s squad has quietly won 3-straight games. Their defense has been lights out and the offense is steadily improving. The Chargers are coming off of a bye week and this should be a good defensive battle between division rivals. It’s the first in a series of what should be great Jim Harbaugh vs. Sean Payton games.

Steelers (3-2) at Raiders (2-3)

A historic AFC rivalry that no longer carries any clout. Both teams are beaten up and take pride in their ugly brands of football. This game will be no different.

Lions (3-1) at Cowboys (3-2)

Dallas is coming off of a dramatic victory in Pittsburgh on primetime and gets the fresh-off-the-bye Detroit Lions. Both teams have high expectations this season and will need to keep piling up victories to achieve them.

Falcons (3-2) at Panthers (1-4)

Atlanta has found its stride under new QB Kirk Cousins. They’re in 1st place in the NFC South and have won two straight against division rivals. They should have no problem making it 3 in a row against the Panthers.

Bengals (1-4) at Giants (2-3)

Even though their records don’t reflect it, these teams have been playing better ball lately. The Bengals fell 41-38 to the Ravens in an overtime thriller last week and the Giants have won 2 of 3. This is an important game for both who are fighting to keep their minuscule playoff hopes alive.

Bills (3-2) at Jets (2-3)

Jets Head Coach Robert Saleh was fired earlier this week and there will be a new voice in Aaron Rodgers’ head that he didn’t have to travel abroad for. Todd Downing takes over for OC Nathaniel Hackett who was stripped of play-calling and game-planning duties. Buffalo looks to get-right, they have lost 2 in a row after their hot 3-0 start to the season.

Last week was good for us if you followed my recommended bets as we went 11/15. I’ll look to keep it rolling this week. I’ve started a weekly article for Blitz Sports Media naming the boom and bust fantasy players for the previous week including their impact moving forward. The first edition was posted last week and will be published every Tuesday for the rest of the season.

More things coming down the pike for JLSports so stay tuned to my social media accounts for everything that’s going on. Thanks for reading and lets enjoy another long day of NFL action.
