NFL 2024 Season Long Bets

Week 2 of preseason has wrapped up leaving just a little over 2 weeks before the Thursday night opener between the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens. Sure, there is still the third week of preseason games to play, but as usual I expect most of the recognizable players to be on the sidelines in street clothes. It feels safe to assume that we have seen the last of the starters until the games have some real meaning. Two weeks until official kickoff feels like an eternity, but the hardcore football fans will be busy. Between prepping for our fantasy football drafts, setting up our season long bets and making Super Bowl predictions – the regular season will be here before we know it.

There are countless shows, websites, apps or social media accounts to follow to find the hottest bets, but they are all without any accountability. We follow their lead, lose our money and then go back and do it again. I’m not a seasoned bettor and don’t put any real money into it, but it’s a fun way to create some interest in teams and players that you otherwise wouldn’t worry about.

The season long bets that I like are posted below. The difference between mine and mainstream sports media is that most of these bets are outside the top 3 favorites. Also, after the season I will revisit this post to see how good (or horribly) they all turned out. All odds are from Fanduel (don’t sue me) and are current to the posting of this blog. You’ll see brief descriptions for some of the bets, but if any are real head scratchers to you, I would be happy to explain if you mention them in the comments.

O/U Win Total
LAC O/8.5
PIT O/8.5
IND O/8.5
GB O/9.5
BUF U/10.5

NE U/4.5

Green Bay and Buffalo appear to be trending in opposite directions

Division Winners
Colts +310
Chargers +350
Panthers +1100
Packers +200
Bears +340
Steelers +750

Colts were a game away from winning the AFC South in 2023. A healthy Richardson makes them a force

Passing Yards
Bryce Young O/3200.5
Dak Prescott O/4075.5
Joe Burrow O/4000.5
Geno Smith O/3425.5
Jayden Daniels O/3025.5

Former University of Washington OC Ryan Grubb brings a wide open passing attack to Seattle

Rushing Yards
Bijan Robinson O/1000.5
Kyren Williams O/950.5
Saquon Barkley O/1000.5

Philadelphia gets away from the RB by committee and will rely on Barkley as the bell cow back

Receiving Yards
Deebo Samuel U/850.5
DJ Moore O/975.5
JaMarr Chase O/1250.5
Keon Coleman O/625.5
Stefon Diggs U/900.5
Travis Kelce U/830.5
Mike Evans O/1025.5
Tee Higgins O/875.5

A revamped WR room means less targets for an aging Kelce, who will see a drop in production

Most Passing TDs
Joe Burrow +1100
Brock Purdy +1200
Jordan Love +1600

With a couple of receivers seeking new contracts, the TDs could come in bunches

Most Passing Yards
Joe Burrow +1100
Dak Prescott +950
Matthew Stafford +2000
Tua Tagovailoa +1000

Lack of a run game and regression in defense could force Dak to throw even more in 2024

Most Rushing Yards
Bijan Robinson +800
Saquon Barkley +1100
Kyren Williams +1500

With Arthur Smith out of the equation, Bijan may get used to his full potential

Most Receiving Yards
JaMarr Chase +1000
Garrett Wilson +2000
DK Metcalf +5000

Ryan Grubbs wide open offense could mean huge numbers for DK

Most Receiving TDs
JaMarr Chase +1700
Mark Andrews +3400
Christian Watson +6000

Ravens will spend a lot of time in the redzone, where Andrews is the only real passing target

Most Rushing TDs
Kyren Williams +1700
Josh Jacobs +2500
Anthony Richardson +2600

After 12 TDs in 12 games in 2023, Williams look to capitalize on a healthy 2024

Rushing TDs
Anthony Richardson O/7.5
Derrick Henry O/10.5
Kenneth Walker O/7.5
Lamar Jackson O/5.5

O/10.5 TDs for King Henry feels like stealing

Receiving TDs
Chris Olave O/5.5
Dalton Kincaid O/5.5
DJ Moore O/5.5
JaMarr Chase O/9.5
Mark Andrews O/6.5

The big play ability of Caleb Williams and DJ Moore should produce plenty of scores

Interceptions
Antoine Winfield Jr. O/1.5
Derek Stingley Jr. O/2.5
Joey Porter Jr. O/1.5
Kyle Hamilton O/1.5
Minkah Fitzpatrick O/1.5
Sauce Gardner O/1.5

Kyle Hamilton appears to be a candidate for DPOY

Season long bets are a great way to track players and teams that you would not be interested in otherwise. Comment to let us all know which of these you love, hate, or bets of your own that you think we could all benefit from. We’re all here to enjoy some football and maybe make a little coin along the way. Before the season begins I will also be posting my predictions who will win the individual awards, each division and of course the Super Bowl. To this point, I have enjoyed writing all the content i’ve put out with plans for much much more. I hope that you enjoy it too and will continue to support this platform throughout the season and please share share share!
